So nice!!!! I've give it a try today and it works perfectly for me. Many thanks the import in seconds is really cool between the 2 desktop apps Figma/Protopie. Great job Protopie Team!

We launched the ProtoPie plugin for Figma, a revamped import experience.
- Import one or multiple frames and objects.
- Import top-level frames as scenes.
- Import what you selected.
- Import vector layers as SVG.
- Import text layers as SVG that can be converted to text layers.
- Import constraints as constraints.

So many issues on import. This is one of the main dealbreakers for our team when it comes to using Protopie

this has been going on forever now

This is so important to us. There are ton of problems: Vector items sometimes does not import properly, layer effects are missing, shadows in an SVG in the imported Figma file break Protopie (the phone app goes nuts with those)

Figma PlugIn vs Account Access for Import

Some work networks and Figma setups do not allow any third party services to connect to Figma with the type of access ProtoPie currently needs, nor will they probably ever allow this.
Is there any possibility of the import functionality being supported as a Figma plugin on the market or something similar that does not require access to the Figma account? I think this would really help with enterprise clients and the like.

Would add to this/suggest: can we have an official Figma plugin or something? Some work networks and Figma setups do not allow third parties to connect to Figma, thus not letting us use the import functionality.. 🙏

Hello Fredo Tan 👋🏼 My request concerns Figma components and libraries. Since we already maintain and share those in Figma, could it be possible for the Figma Import to consider these (components and styles) and automatically turn them into components and share them in the Team Library in ProtoPie? Also, could we be able to access the inner elements of components after import? I might be wrong though. Here’s an example: importing a component (let say an auto-layout frame, comprised of an icon and a text field, with a colored background) from Figma creates an “object” in ProtoPie that doesn’t allow us to access any of its constituents individually.

Mathieu Daudelin: Thanks for the input! It'd be worth to think about this.
