Filter triggers and responses in the interaction panel
Homer Rutledge
In complex protos, the list of stuff in the interaction panel can get quite long. For my protos, the mode is probably ~50 to 60 items. 100+ isn't uncommon.
It would be great to easily filter the interaction panel to show only specific triggers, reactions, or matching property values. e.g.:
- I have lots of instances of Scale reactions across my proto, scattered around in different groups. If I wanted to edit them all, it would be easier if I could hide all other reactions, instead of having to expand all the groups and scroll through the list cmd + clicking each one.
- If I had two instances of a Rotate reaction among many others, I could find them faster if I could filter for that trigger.
- I want to find all instances of Cubic easing, so I can change it to something else
- I often rename my triggers and reactions so they're more glanceable, and more helpful to me when I come back to a file I haven't opened in a while. If I could filter the interaction panel (or search like the layer panel), I could find all the reactions named "ProductOptions_ListItem" which may include multiple reaction types, that are dispersed throughout several different groups.

@sparq-creative It will help us understand better if you can give more details. What are you trying to accomplish?

It’s a filter, not a search. I type in a word or a letter and it only shows the matching triggers and responses based on what I type in. I were a lot of time looking for responses of things. I’m fairly organised but most designers are not. One of the worst things in the design world is trying to find things in layers panels and abs list. In ProtoPie the worst offender of this is the interaction panel. Having the ability to filter will enable me to find all of the taps triggers or all of the interactions that’s have the word ‘button’ in them. We already have the exact same functionality in the components panel and the response layer target panel. I’m just suggesting have the same functionality in the interaction panel. In one scene I can have easily a 100 triggers and responses and it really slows me down having the find things.

+1 on this improvement.
