Gradient Support

Gradient support should find its way into ProtoPie this year!
In the meantime, check out this smart workaround by our trainer Jeffrey Clarke:

When can we expect it ?

Is gradient support still planned for this year?

Hi Team,
I'm trying to workaround gradients with PNGs or SVGs but they also don't work :/

It's been about 4 years since this feature was requested!

Patricia (ProtoPie Team): Ha, since when does ProtoPie support alpha masks? :D When I tried it ... 2 years ago(?) alpha masks were not supported, and I probably over read them since then in the release notes. Good to know I don't have to fake the mask for fading out content anymore.

Philipp Nürnberg: it was introduced with version 7.2.0 😉

What the #^*# are we supposed to do with this? Our gradients are precisely defined in Figma and that’s the connectivity we rely on.
I can edit gradients in the most basic, throwaway FREE apps on my phone. How is it that the dev team at ProtoPie still can’t code something as simple as a gradient, after THREE YEARS?
If you didn’t have a timeline, I would never open ProtoPie again.

trevor gilchrist: They chose to prioritize other feature requests but gradients are in the roadmap for this year. We'll keep this page updated ;)
