Hey there! Are there any plans to expand this feature to include conditions as well? Just renamed a global variable and it corrupted all of the conditions in actions that were using the global variable :(

Starting from version 7.4, layer/variable references in formulas automatically update after you rename a layer/variable 🌟

When renaming a layer or a variable, it seems pointlessly manual to have to go back and replace every instance of the old name in interactions and formulas. It would be very nice if changing a layer or variable name left all references to that name intact with the old name replaced by the new one, similar the way After Effects expressions handle this.

Joining the choir. This would make the workflow more smooth and save time for refactoring.

Adding some love to this topic. This is a huge pain if you have real huge prototypes. Our biggest prototype got 70 screens and 22 global variables. We do need or want to rename variables but it take a lot of unnecessary effort to go through all triggers and formulars to re-select the renamed variable.
Please make it work by default, like it's already working when renaming layers.

Yes I run into this a lot, if you change a layername or variable formulas don't upfdate, nor is it easy to see an error. It would be better to have a centralised error window like you have in real programming IDE's

Renaming Layer And Formula Error

Had an experience where I spent almost half an hour sorting why my Protopie suddenly stops working. Only to find out that the layer name in my formula no longer matches any object in my timeline. Unfortunately, Protopie doesn't provide an indicator or error that formula no longer works if a certain layer name no longer matches any object.
I hope this can be fix. Thank you!
