You can do this already, although the process is a bit manual. First chop your image into 9 slices in whatever image tool you use and import them into ProtoPie as separate images. Make a group with your nine slices arranged inside. Then use constraints on each slice so that they scale according to the 9-slice rules when the container is resized.
