Create custom Key Triggers from combo of key presses

That would be cool! Faking that takes too much "handwriting effort" right now.

Would help when working with keyboard inputs as trigger. Agree with Jeff Clarke on the topic. Any updates?

Detect Alt, Shift, Cmd keystrokes and key combinations.

Currently Protopie is only detecting a limited number of functional keys. It would be nice to allow a wider variety and their combination with other keys (like Alt+C, for example). It would be also nice to specify the rule not by selecting a key from the list but by simply pressing the combination that is to be detected.

More options for the PRESS trigger
Jeff Clarke
Right now there are a good amount of keyboard keys available to the PRESS trigger, but I'd like to see this unlimited. Instead of picking from a list, it would be great if I could just type the key I want to be responded to, as well as add modifiers (SHIFT, CMD, OPTION, etc).
I'm using ProtoPie to respond to keyboard key presses that are relayed from an IR remote control. I don't have enough keyboard key options available in ProtoPie to map every button on the remote.

This would be great, I'm currently trying to make a list of checkboxes focusable (using the tab key), going forwards works well because it only requires the tab key, but I can't set the keyboard trigger to use shift+tab to reverse up the list like you can in browsers.
eden huh the post you merged seems to be aimed at custom ProtoPie shortcuts and not custom keyboard trigger events.

Improve efficiency with custom shortcuts for triggers and responses

I’m used to work very fast and with a lot of shortcuts. Currently I’m missing this. Only some triggers and responses got shortcuts (e.g. Tap —> T, Opacity —> O, …).
I would love to be able to assign my own shortcuts to fit my work-style.

In addition, would be cool if any midi signals can be mapped also.

ProtoPie Could that be done by using unicodes in any way?
