Dynamically assign interactions to layers through formulas

It would be great to select layers via formulas instead of select fixed layers. That would be great for e.g. png sequences.
I can imagine something like:
Detect --> Reorder --> Select Layer with Formula Input:
frame-
+ variable_Avariable_A in this example will hold the frame number, getting from whatever. Scroll position, object position, etc.

In the meantime, can anyone suggest a workaround? other than creating unique conditions for each layer?

Use formulas to select a layer when applying actions

When applying an action to a layer, you currently have to manually choose the layer from the dropdown menu. It would be very powerful to have the option to use a formula to dynamically select a layer.

Additionally, I would like to push the "transparent videos" FR a bit more. Of course, formulas in layer names would be useful for many use cases but one of them are image sequences. Transparent videos in combination with the existing timeline control would solve a lot of problems.

+1 or "Select with Condition", where you could use a Formula to evaluate the selection. This would make it possible to do stuff like "Select all layers with opacity above 0", "Select all layers with names that starts with button_" etc. etc.

1000x yes! I was here to submit this exact request. There have been so many times when I've needed to create an endless list of conditionals in order to affect the right layer, when I could have just selected it directly in the way it is described here.
