JSON Export of Animations

To work with React/React Native straight out of the pie. Might have to be allowed from Start Triggers only - File > Export > View a list of all animations created under the Start trigger; select individually or collectively > Export. Option to export with HTML file for easy preview, else preview using Lottie's preview URL.

Literally the only feature preventing us (Reddit) from going Enterprise is lack of an export. Handoff is cool to look at but devs aren't trying to sit there and copy/paste every parameter. Just let us export what is clearly already working on the web. Please.

Export animation as lottie files
Colin Boni
Some animation are not doable for developper. Having the possibilities to export animations (or part of animations) as lottie files to be push to developper directly could be a game changer for us. Because you know using AE with lottie's requirements is very hard to use.

Exporting vectors and raster

This is a critical feature I'm surprised protopie lacks. The ability to export vectors created in or imported to the software — to export then as SVG or raster.

Hey Patricia (ProtoPie Team)! This forum doesn't provide a link to the merged posts, so I can't easily hop over there, so I'll leave my comment here!
I'm with a studio (https://sundragon.tech) that uses React / React Native extensively. This feature's presence (or lack of) is paramount to our choice to subscribe to ProtoPie for our UX designers. Please implement! You folks got everything else right!

Acea Spades Black: Thank you for the feedback. It's not in our roadmap yet, but we'll definitely pass the request on to our PMs ;)

Import React/Reactive Native components similar to UXPin

Import React/React Native components. Would need an API that devs could follow so that the React animation worked as an animation. Makes ProtoPie directly competitive with UXPin

Supports generating json files

I want to add support for exporting Lottie or SVGA files, so they can be directly delivered for development or eliminate the need to use AE to re-create animations
Strongly Lottie or SVGA

Ditto on comments here - JSON export is needed to compete with After Effects!

It is truly a huge oversight that JSON can not be exported from animations two years after this comment. The protopie team should know that because of this lack of feature, our clients demand we use After Effects and export JSON from that, instead of using Protopie.
Exporting JSON is the perfect middle ground so you dont export code of any 'language' just the data which can then be used in any way needed.
Instead i have to convince clients they can go through an interaction 'recipe' and copy and paste all that stuff into their code.
I love Protopie – but It's ridiculous. The data is right there. Allow exporting.

Agreed, I'd be fine if export to Lottie is limited to only certain triggers (as stated in request).
I feel like it's generally simpler to create most animations I need in Protopie. However, I'm currently stuck using Protopie less than I would like to on my projects because I want to avoid recreating animations made in Protopie in AE (so I do all of the work that needs to be exported into Lottie/JSON format in AE).
Re-animating grows tiresome very quickly on larger projects, so it would be nice to have the export feature in one place.

A M: This is exactly the problem. It's nonsense.
