Locally save for free plan
Anh Hoang Tuan
I'd love for Protopie to bring the locally save to the free plan or bring back the individual plan. The new pro plan is really expensive for small startups and freelancers who want to make UX design better with proper user testing. I really hope Protopie team to reconsider somehow make it better for the individuals to learn and use Protopie. For a person who just discovered Protopie like me, it is very difficult to learn and freely test my concepts if I don't subscribe to the pro plan. Keep in mind that I'm from a developing country which makes it so expensive to people like me to get access to this amazing tool with $799/year.
Once again, I am sincerely asking Protopie team to reconsider the option to save locally.
Thanks and keep up the good work !

Agreed, the new plan pricing is not realistic, Protopie are actively alienating and pushing away its user base with the current plans. Over $60 dollars per month for an app that, whilst great - has a long way to go to being as polished and feature-rich to warrant it's cost.
I know our company have stated they can not justify the cost of pro accounts and we can't be the only ones.
I'm not an expert, but I've been in this game long enough to know that the best software companies build communities and make their products as accessible as possible, I think the Protopie team should be looking at the Figma model for how it's done right. And the fact that you can get the entire Adobe suite for less than Protopie speaks volumes.

David Vesty: I completely agree. This pricing is a very short sighted money grab because major companies are using the program. The reason the employees of those companies learned ProtoPie in the first place was because it was accessible. I understand the company needs money to grow, but gutting the free version and pricing it higher than any comparable program is cutting the community of users off at the roots. Who is going to pay $80 a month (A MONTH) just to learn? I know I would not have.

Nathaniel Bell Their pricing structure is insane and I can't believe it.

David Vesty: I can imagine that it's hard for smaller companies to pay the pro or enterprise licenses, but just as a comment about your comparison to the price of the Adobe suite: Adobe has around 30 million paid members and has some of the world-wide leading design tools. They can offer a smaller price, while ProtoPie has to pay their whole company with fewer subscribers. In the end, I don't know about ProtoPies financial situation of course, but this is just my feeling.
I don't want to say that $67 for the pro plan is ok or not, I just want to bring this perspective into the discussion.

There are only two file plans now, which is not enough at all. Even so, the files will suddenly disappear or cannot be opened after students use them, which is really bad!

I'm a teacher. My students and I have been using ProtoPie for the past few years, and I feel very good. Suddenly, this update can't save local files. I have encountered a lot of trouble in education and teaching. Please reply before June 2022 to customize! !

I completely agree. This pricing restructure is completely ridiculous and will really hurt the user community. 8x the price suddenly?!?

I've been using ProtoPie since 2017. I was happy to see that they were bringing back the free plan as it was in the beginning. Now I'm astonished to find out that I can no longer save my files locally, and I can only upload up to 2 files to the cloud. The option? To pay $79 per month. This is ABSURD for individual users and even for small teams this is quite pricy.
Terrible terrible pricing system. Terrible terrible idea to disable local saving.

I support this 1000%, especially for developing countries. I grew up in the Philippines, I KNOW. I have experienced poverty.
Pls Tony & team, have an affordable plan for folks from developing countries.
