It would be nice to add the webm video format as a supported video format with the same settings as the current formats

Yes, webm and webp with alpha channels would be great.

This would be a great addition and unlock many possiblities.

Please consider WebM with alpha support and potentially mov as it also can support alpha but is less optimized.

Agree. WEBM videos can contain alpha channel while the MP4 format doesn't. I can't always use Lottie as some animation effects aren't supported in Lottie.

Also, WEBM files can be very lightweight compared to MP4
