I'm so sad that this doesn't exist yet, even after 5 years. Not having this feature is so frustrating, and really turns me off using this software

This would be huge and the only thing that would sway me away from Framer at this point. With the rise of 3D web I believe having the ability to import embedded 3D interactions/experiences from tools like Spline is a must!

Yes please! Better yet than an iFrame, allow embedding a custom WebComponent. That would allow you to develop your own components for Protopie, that could even tie into the Send/Receive feature to interact with the remainder of the prototype!
For us that would cover SO many use cases: Highly customizable maps, ineractive 3D renderings, customizable charts, ....

I have a need to display a web page inside a "webview" of an app. And using protopie to show exactly how that should work would be awesome. Currently having to recreate the website manually, but would be better to just use something like a container to display the page. We have a regular container, scroll container, paging container...and would be cool to have a "webview container" that takes a url input either from a variable or manual url entry via inspector panel.

Would love this!

I'm not sure how my post got merged into this? They are not the same asks.

Merged in a post:
Ability to play video from a web URL instead of embedded into the prototype.

It would be fantastic if I could dynamically assign a video URL source to a player in order to keep the prototype file size down and to provide some added flexibility.
Prototype loading time increases dramatically with each embedded video, and becomes problematic for user testing. It's unreasonable to expect a tester to have to download a prototype several hundred MB in size, especially if they don't have a lightning fast internet connection. Offloading the videos to a CDN server (or if the ProtoPie web player could do this automatically) would alleviate the need to download every video prior to starting interacting with the prototype.
Would be useful for audio files and images as well.

I like this, for the same reason(s). As a reference, we use Miro for project collaboration and you can embed links from third parties, like Vimeo, which I do often (see image). So ideally it accepts an embed like that, or a straight-up URL to the asset.
